Based on the internationally-recognised Specialty Coffee Association syllabus, this series will provide you with a well-rounded understanding of the world of coffee. It's also a great starting point for coffee enthusiasts or professionals looking to upskill or enter the industry.

1. SCA Sensory Foundation

2. SCA Green Coffee Foundation

Find out how to establish quality across the entire business value chain. Understand key concepts surrounding green coffee: production, processing, grading, shipping, storage, arrival at destination, as well as coffee contracts and portfolio management.

3. SCA Barista Skills Foundation

Learn the practical skills you need behind the espresso bar. Find out how to set your grinder, pick up milk techniques and latte art, health and safety knowledge, customer service, and basic business practices.

4. SCA Brewing Foundation

Learn about the variety of methods for hand-brewing coffee and the brewing variables that affect quality. The Brewing module provides hands-on learning on grind profiles, brewing methods, measuring coffee strength and charting a coffee’s extraction.

5. SCA Roasting Foundation

Learn about the roasting process, including roast cycles, roast levels and defect identification. Discover the physical changes that beans undergo during the roasting process, as well as workspace management and lean production.

6. WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1
