Learning Outcomes
- Understand the origins, history, and geography of tea, from Camellia Sinensis to specialty and commodity teas
- Explore botanicals, their properties and seasonal flavours, including chamomile, peppermint, rooibos, lavender, hibiscus and more
- Brew and serve a variety of teas and tea-based drinks using professional techniques and tools
- Apply sensory skills to taste, evaluate, and differentiate teas and botanicals infusions
- Confidently manage tea storage, hygiene, workspace, and cafe service
- Build a strong foundation for personal enjoyment or a career in tea service or specialty beverage preparation
Certification
Upon successful completion, learners will receive a certifcate of completion by Bettr Academy and Foundation level certificate for Camellia Sinensis, Botanicals and Tea Barista by European Specialty Tea Association.

Request to reschedule must be submitted in writing to academy@bettr.group at least 3 working days before course commences, subject to a $30 admin charge. If the request to reschedule is given less than 3 working days, it will not be approved unless accompanied by a valid medical certificate or equivalent, subject to a $30 admin charge. You may reschedule a class only once. After which, the course fees will be forfeited.
