ESTA Camellia Sinensis Foundation
This course provides foundational knowledge of Camellia Sinensis and the six tea categories, allowing learners to taste and compare them.

Overview
Camellia Sinensis Foundation is an ideal course for those who have an interest in tea with a need to achieve a basic theoretical and practical understanding of the tea plant from leaf to cup.
It is one of the building block modules of the European Speciality Tea Association's education initiative, the Tea Certification Programme. All categories of tea will be available to taste, brew, and simply enjoy during the course. This course provides the necessary understanding on a foundation level of Camellia Sinensis, the six categories, and the way each one is processed. The focus will be on basic knowledge and tasting of each category.
This can be developed in more depth by moving on to Camellia Sinensis Intermediate and Advanced (coming soon).

Certification
Upon successful completion, learners will receive a certificate of completion by Bettr Academy and a Foundation level certificate for Camellia Sinensis Foundation issued by the European Speciality Tea Association (ESTA).
Students need to pass an online written exam and obtain a positive Camellia Sinensis Foundation skills report from the Authorised Tea Certifier teaching the course to achieve the certificate.

If the request to reschedule is given less than 3 working days, it will not be approved unless accompanied by a valid medical certificate or equivalent, subject to a $30 admin charge. You may reschedule a class only once. After which, the course fees will be forfeited.
