Enrol in this mandatory licensing course to learn to prepare and handle food and ingredients safely and hygienically, and maintain the cleanliness of premises, utensils and equipment. Regardless of how tasty or appealing an establishment's dishes may be, food cleanliness is absolutely essential to ensuring the survival of hospitality businesses, and to keep customers coming back.

By the end of this course, you will be competent in handling and preparing food in safe, hygienic ways in line with regulations, and maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of utensils, equipment and premises.

Who Should Attend

What is the difference between PWM-WSQ courses and the regular course i.e. non-PWM?

Progressive Wage Model (PWM) Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) courses in Singapore are mandatory, competency-based training modules designed to help local workers upgrade their skills and meet the wage and promotion requirements of the national Progressive Wage Model.

For companies in the food services sector, it is required for workers to attain specific WSQ Statements of Attainment to maintain work pass renewals and support career advancement.

These courses are subsidised by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), with funding often covering up to 70% of course fees depending on eligibility. In addition, eligible individuals can utilise SkillsFuture Credits (SFC) and/or SkillsFuture Mid Career Credits (for individuals aged 40 and above) to to offset remaining out-of-pocket expenses.
