Overview
The Green Coffee Foundation course introduces basic concepts regarding the production, trade, and evaluation of green coffee through the defect, cupping and green grading exercises.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, the learner will be able to:
- Learn about the specialty coffee supply chain from farm to roaster
- Understand various stages of the supply chain from cultivation, harvesting, processing, drying, shipping, storage, to delivery
- Explore principles of coffee growing, processing, grading, trade, and portfolio management
- Green botany, agronomy and seasonality
- Understanding of markets, certifications, transactions, and quality differentiation
- Understanding grading, defects, and positive attributes in relation to green coffee contracts
Certification
Upon successful completion, learners will receive a certificate of completion by Bettr Academy and Intermediate level certificates for Green Coffee by Specialty Coffee Association.

Request to reschedule must be submitted in writing to academy@bettr.group at least 3 working days before course commences, subject to a $30 admin charge. If the request to reschedule is given less than 3 working days, it will not be approved unless accompanied by a valid medical certificate or equivalent, subject to a $30 admin charge. You may reschedule a class only once. After which, the course fees will be forfeited.
Yes, weekend slots are available for some of our courses. Weekend dates are very popular, so register early!
