To equip food and beverage service providers and front of house staff to be competent in set up, opening, in-service and closing operations in accordance with organisational procedures and legislation requirements.
Overview
To equip all service and front of house staff of food and beverage establishments with the basic knowledge and skills on set up, opening, in-service and closing activities to maintain smooth operations and a clean and hygienic environment.
Learning Outcomes
- Gain knowledge of the different types of tools, equipment, tableware and table-top items used in F&B service.
- Demonstrate knowledge of service components and ability to follow the organisation's SOP when preparing for service operations.
- Perform opening and end of shift activities.
- Follow proper handover procedures to ensure smooth communications and operations.

A Statement of Attainment in Food and Beverage Service Level 1 will be given to learners upon successful completion of the assessments.
