The SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP) in Beverage Service will equip mid-career individuals, including those in employment, with the right skills to make career transitions in the Food Services sector. The various technical and soft skill courses will equip individuals with skills and competencies to work effectively and efficiently in food and beverage service establishments focusing on specialty beverages.
The objective of the SCTP in Beverage Service (Mixology) programme is to prepare learners for more complex job functions in the mixology profession. Learners will have an in-depth introduction to the world of mixology through learning how to prepare and serve classic and contemporary cocktails, aligned to industry standards. They will learn the different types of house spirits, their sensory profiles, drink and pairing recommendations based on customer preferences and bartending techniques.
The programme is conducted in a blended learning mode comprising asynchronous and synchronous eLearning and in-person practicals.
