After making a career pivot from chemical engineering to food and beverage, Dhinesh struggled to find his footing to have a sustainable career as a chef and subsequently as a bartender. He decided to give the specialty coffee industry a go and started as a barista at various cafes, eventually moving into production roasting. Eventually, Dhinesh attempted to pursue entrepreneurship as a cafe owner, with limited success.
Having stumbled into Bettr's space and finally pursuing a career as a coffee trainer, Dhinesh has given up the nomadic barista lifestyle with a renewed sense of purpose and direction.
"After years spent in the industry and thinking that I've learnt so much, I stepped into Bettr and realised... what I knew was only the tip of the iceberg. Every day has been a learning day for me. A new coffee to experience, a new workflow to adopt, a new tool to brew with... that's the fun in specialty coffee."
